PARK  Park mode is the most versatile for general detecting and in high trash areas such as parks and public places.

FIELD Field mode is optimised for detecting historical fields and designed to find the broadest range of target sizes.

BEACH Beach mode is optimised for all salty conditions and operates in Multi only, excels in dry sand, wet sand, & underwater.

GOLD Gold mode operates high single frequencies of 20 or 40 kHz, optimised for detecting gold targets in highly-mineralised ground.

True Simultaneous Multi-Frequency

There are a few detectors on the market that claim to be multi-frequency, but they actually only switch between single frequencies, operating on just one at a time. Incorporating Multi-IQ, the Equinox is the world's first detector to offer simultaneous detection of multiple frequencies. The best of both worlds, with low frequencies for picking up large, deep targets and high frequencies for picking up small objects, all in one pass of the coil. The Equinox 800 is a truly amazing machine and no other machines on the market really come close for the price and for the level of features it possesses. We have personally spent 1000's of hours detecting in the fields, ploughed and pasture, the Cornish beaches on the wet sand and dry, there is literally no better choice you could choose over this. From winkling out small silver hammered coins amongst iron-infested fields in ancient settlement sites to pulling out countless rings and coins from the wet sand on beaches, this is honestly always our go-to machine. You will never be restricted or ever disappointed with the performance of the Equinox. 

Detecting the Beaches

If you can handle the extra weight swap the 11" stock coil for a 15x12" Minelab coil or use the Coiltek 15" coil, this will give you that extra few inches of depth needed in the sand allowing you to hear and pull out those slightly deeper coins or jewellery. If the detector weight is an issue for you the Pro-swing harness is a must-have so check this out in our range of Minelab accessories too.
