Returns & Warranty

Returns & Warranty

Here at Duchy Metal Detectors we are always more than happy to refund/return any unwanted item(s), as long as we are notified within 14 days of receiving your goods, the goods are returned within 28 days, and the following criteria are met:

  • Goods must be sealed and still in the original packaging, machine or product packaging must be undamaged.
  • Goods have not been used, fitted, or worn (unless to try on).
  • Goods must be undamaged, unaltered, unsoiled, and unwashed.
  • Goods must be in a perfect resaleable condition and preferably with tags or labels still attached.

We can only refund monies to the original source of payment. All monies will be refunded within 14 days once the refund process is initiated by us, as stated in the consumer rights regulations.

 

Exceptions

Items that are made to certain specifics are excluded from these terms and can not be refunded unless they are faulty or you did not receive the exact item you ordered (Colour, Size, etc)

 

Warranty

We offer a minimum 1-year warranty on all products within our www.duchymetaldetectors.co.uk web store (website) with the exception of used metal detectors or coils which come with a 90-day warranty. New metal detectors come with a minimum warranty period of 2-years but some brands offer more than this. If goods provided, are not as described or faulty/damaged, you are also entitled to a full refund provided they are returned within 30 days of purchase. To make a warranty claim during the warranty period you will need to email returns@duchydetectors.co.uk with your order number and reason for return, we will then provide you with a returns number and discuss the issue you are experiencing.

  • You must cover the costs of returning the goods to us in all instances.
  • Please make sure goods are suitably packaged for transit ( Sadly we can not refund or replace items damaged because of insufficient packaging).
  • Please send tracked or recorded to ensure the safe return of your products to us.
  • Once we received the returned goods we will carry out tests and a full inspection, sending them to the manufacturer if needed.

 

We will then provide one of the following solutions:

  • If we or the manufacturer find the goods to be in perfect working order, with no faults, we will return them to you.
  • If the goods are found to be faulty we will send out a replacement to you as quickly as possible.
  • If goods are damaged in any way not in accordance with the warranty (Misuse, neglect etc) or above the stated claim period date, we will return them to you.

 

Damaged in Transit

Upon receiving your goods from the courier, we advise you to fully check the goods and make sure they are in perfect condition. If goods are delivered in transit, then please contact us at returns@duchydetectors.co.uk within 24 hours, if we do not contact our courier within 24 hours then will not allow us to claim for the damaged goods. We will need the following info from you to help speed up the courier claim:

  • Photos of the box or boxes showing any damages
  • Photos of the internal packaging within the box
  • Photos of the shipping label attached to the box
  • Photos of the damaged items received

If you notify us within 24 hours, we will then quickly arrange a solution, be it sending out a replacement to you.

 

How to return goods

  1. email sales@duchydetectors.co.uk to let us know you are returning goods. We will issue you a returns number.
  2. Enclose a cover note with your name, order number and reason for return. Please enclose all manuals (If goods came with them).
  3. Make sure goods are suitably packaged for transit. We can not refund or replace items damaged because of insufficient packaging).
  4. Please ensure that any metal detectors or coils etc are packaged within their own original boxes and then packaged in another box with the postage labels attached. This prevents new machines original boxes from being damaged during the returns process.
  5. We recommend sending the goods tracked or insured. We can not refund or replace anything we do not receive.
  6. Once we have received the goods, we will inspect them to ensure they are resaleable and of course, refund your order.
  7. We will only cover the cost of postage for your returns if the goods we supplied were faulty or not as described.
