About Unearthed in Cornwall

Unearthed in Cornwall is a fresh new group within the metal detecting community!

Due to the popularity of metal detecting and the demand for new things we decided to set up a new inclusive group! We wanted something different for our members, we offer a relaxed atmosphere for people who share the same thirst for discovering history!

We run weekly digs in which we provide free snacks and drinks. We run charity events for the Huntington’s disease association and have many plans for the future!

How to Join Our Club

The best and easiest way to contact us or to join our growing group of club members is by going to our Facebook group page from the link above, then clicking the join group button. Once you have been accepted by our Facebook admin you will be part of the club and will receive access to our upcoming digs, events, and other members' fantastic finds and posts.

Club Rules

Metal detecting is a great hobby, to ensure that everyone enjoys it, protects the right to do it, and encourages others, members must adhere to the following rules.

1. Members should have or obtain a valid up to date NCMD/FID card. If you don't have one you can get one here: National Council for Metal Detecting.

2. Members must adhere to the metal detecting code of conduct, see here for more info on the Codes of Conduct that we follow.

3. No "Night Hawking" will be tolerated & anyone reported to have taken part in this illegal activity will be banned.
